APPLYING FOR A SOUTH AFRICA VISITOR VISA
Before we dive into the requirements needed for the processing of a South Africa visa, let’s look at what makes South Africa special.

General Visa Requirements
1. A duly completed application form in black ink only.

2. Two Identical passport photo size on a white background.
Size (35mm x 45mm)
3. International passport.
4. Coloured copy of your international passport datapage and copies of any existing visas on your passport.
5. Yellow vaccination card.
6. Confirmed hotel reservations which must not be done via third parties: Hotel reservations made through third parties website such as; agoda.com, hotels.com, expedia.com etc. will not be accepted by the Embassy. All reservations must be directly done with the hotel as this will make it easier for the Embassy to verify such reservation.
7. Flight reservation. Do not purchase a flight ticket for visa purposes
8. A Self introduction letter with your address and contact number.

10. Introduction letter from employer where applicable signed with full names of the employer, physical address and phone number.
Note: If you are a business person, all documents to proof that your business is registered must be tendered e.g. CAC certificate etc.
11. Marriage Certificate and birth certificate of children where applicable.
12. 6 months bank statement of account (stamped and signed).
13. Pay slip for period of 6 months where applicable.
14. Invitation letter: This is applicable to those who are attending a conference, seminar, training, or visiting a friend or family member in South Africa.
South Africa visa application centres
Once you have gathered all your documents, you can head over to any South Africa visa application centres in Nigeria for submission. South Africa visa applications are handled by VFS Global, an agency authorized by South Africa authority to handle all visa applications. There are 3 centres in Nigeria; Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt
